Who is getting over strep, but is all dressed up and ready to dance their ass off tonight to Gogol Bordello?
THAT WOULD BE ME.
Bring on the sweat <3
It’s my new goal to make as many new Portland friends as possible. I just need to get over the fear of putting myself out there.
Here we go!
EEP!
A guy from Freeport has been missing for a while. I think he went to UMaine and he seemed to be friends with some of my old friends from home.
They found his body today, outside where Chickenfest was this year. :/
Chickenfest is this intense hidden party with a secret location put on every year by UMaine kids. I went to it my freshman year and was lucky that I was with someone who didn’t do any drugs that night, and I was underage and refrained from drinking; since there was a roadblock on our way out, it could have ended badly otherwise.
I’m still not sure what happened to him… If he just got lost, trying to get around a roadblock, or if there was something else to the whole thing.
It’s just really sad.
While out today, we saw kids and seemingly teachers putting signs up all over Portland. Maybe a lesson in printmaking or some such thing. They all had cute messages on them. Some were Wanted Posters for dragons, some asked you to write down your super power. And this one told you to yell something.
I recognized someone as a fan of Firefly, yesterday at work, due to their t-shirt, with an image only a devoted fan would recognize. I chit chatted with them and found out they are trying to find a publisher, for a Firefly novel they are writing!
WUT?!
I love fandoms. SO MUCH.
Going to Silly’s right now with Kat for some delicious vegan foods.
This is only a small shot of their vegan menu.
My favorite place to eat!

The Valentine’s Bandit has struck again in Portland, Maine. This mystery person (or group) has been papering Portland with hearts since 1976, a tradition that began here but has since spread to other cities. Every Valentine’s Day morning, residents look forward to seeing hundreds of red hearts on windows, doors and buildings throughout the city. Happy Valentine’s Day!
I wish I was going to be in the city today! This is so cute! <3
